Covering Letter Necessary?

Hi Guys,

Please let me know if the Covering letter is really necessary or not because we menetion all the points we are claiming at the end of the application?

Please advise.

a cover letter is not a requirement of the rules.

There is no need to write a cover letter if everything is in the application form. Cover letters are usually used where some explanation is needed of the supporting evidence, for example if you claimed earnings for less than the full period, or your earnings for one month were paid on a different date. Ask yourself the question: if I was the Caseworker is there anything in the application that would make me confused? If so, explain in the cover letter. If not, no need for one.
