To simplify things, submit only one covering letter with readable sections within the letter for each attribute.

Not a bad idea..

Can anybody who did a consolidated covering letter as mentioned above and succeeded..

Can you confirm if it is OK to have a consolidated one with covering each attribute and which is physically more than 1-2pages?

I think it is better to have seperate cover letter for each section.

I submitted my application with NO Covering Letter and succeeded in getting the visa. The covering letter is a waste of time; your case-worker doesn't read it, BHC doesn't read it, even VFS will probably ignore it!

On a more logical outlook, we feel covering letter might not do anything more as the documents are furnished.

How was your application. Was everything straight forward.

For example on my payslips it is mentioned software eng and my designation is tech consultant in my company

This was a difference and needed to be mentioned in the cover letter.

My employee code in the company changed when they outsourced the payroll functions externally .Things like these where there are minor discrepancies occur have to be mentioned somewhere and the cover letter is the best place to do it. Ofcourse it should contain the major details as well.
