criminal record

Post by pinkky » Thu Oct 23, 2008 9:41 am

Last year I was convicted for obtaining an illegal document and I was fined £180.Im an assylum seeker currently waiting for a decision from the high court after the home office appealed a decision to grant me refugeee status based on article 3 and 8.
Now I m wondering if someone knows how my crimnal record will affect the high court decision .I was also told my case is being looked at by the legacy team how can this be when I still have an appeal pending.
Any information will hel thank you

was the marriage application refused. and when was it refused. have you heard about Chikwamba caselaw before. yes your case is definately a legacy case since you initially claimed asylum in 2002. wat is the basis the appeal you are currently waiting at the High Court. when you were convicted of having illegal documents did the judge recomment a prison sentence or you were just fined. if it was just fine i dont think it will affect your legacy case. do you know where your legacy team is.

sorry to ask so many questions but the more i understand your case the easier it will be to give advice

I was just fined, had been suffering with depression for sometime due to a lot of domestic violence. I think because of my immigration problems my husband became addicted to alcohol and other drugs and became very abusive,I wanted to run away from him, like disappear so obtained the fake document in a different name.
