Current visa expres 15days before ILR eligibility

Dear friends,

First came to UK on 15-Aug-2004 - on Workpermit
Moved to HSMP on 30-Jul-2007; valid until 30-Jul-2009

Can I apply for ILR on say 20-Jul-2009 (hopefully I get an appointment at PEO Croydon)? OR Do I need to complete ENTIRE 5 years stay to be eligible for ILR? Another HSMP extension will cost me £1K :(

And if my ILR application on 20-Jul-2009 is rejected will I have enough time for HSMP renewal application?

Also I have several Workpermit extensions between Aug-2004 and Jul-2007, but I DONT have the Workpermits (paper) with me. Is Passport with stampings sufficient?

You can apply for ILR 28 days short of 5 years. So in your case you can apply for ILR after 17th July.
