Hi,
I am on Tier 2 General visa and I have applied for tier 2 general visa on 21st october 2011 as I am changing my employer.I did Attend Biometrics on 16th November and I was desperately waiting for the visa.
But I have a received a letter today from UKBA to fill the above mentioned form (Data protection Subject Access Form) and after sending this form then only they will decide on my application.
Have anybody encountered this before? or can anybody help me to understand on this?
Your help is much apprecieted.
Kind regards

HI,
I have experienced the similar thing today. I wanted to know if you have received you visa? How long did it take after you sent the data protection access letter.
Your reply is greatly anticipated, thanks!

Hi,
I am having the same experience. Got a letter from home office re: for DAT1 form. Please share how long it took you to get it and then the visa?
I am told by Police that could take 40 days. But current processing time is 2-3 weeks. I think this is recently introduced thing. Thanks. Please share.

DAT1 refers to - Application for Access to your Personal Data held on Police Service of Northern Ireland Information Systems
Have you ever lived in NI ??

Hi guru
Ya since 2006, guru any idea will it increase the time duration of my application. If yes then how much. Secondly does this indicate anything bad because it is normally not required. Any advice or suggestions. Will appreciate. Thanks. I am civil servant so already have security clearance with me.

And also this should not considerably delay your application. These checks are run usually in hours on PNC (Police National Computers) if you have not moved too many times whilst in Northern Ireland
