hello dear how are u?i wanted to ask some questions about benefits that my wife wants to apply for,as she is British Citizen and i have got my spouse visa in last past month of July,at that time she had stopped all of her benefits except child tax credit and in work tax credits,now me after getting spouse visa is she eligible for applying housing BENEFITS at her name and council tax benefits at her name?

Your wife can claim housing benefit and council tax benefit subject to your household income. She can only claim as a single person however whilst you have no recourse to public funds.

If she has not done so already the tax credits claim should be made by you both jointly.

Are either of you working?
