Hello all, if the deed poll can be done by anyone, then why there are lots of deed poll agencies out there?!

A will can be done without a will writer, but there are many will writers. A mortgage can be acquired without a broker but there are many brokers etc.....

lol that is smart answer.
i was wondering about the name change deed poll.
it is not clear whether you can do it your self or through one of these agencies.

the gov website supplies you with a form. But I guess your back will be kind of protected if you do it through one of these agencies since they will supply you with a nice printed certificate with stamps and logos 8)

the prices of these agencies differs strangely! one of them do it for £33 and another one do it for just £8.99.
