Delays in processing times for settlement visas at New York?

Is anyone else currently experiencing delays in processing times for settlement visas sent to New York?

We are waiting for news on my partner's settlement visa. Documents and biometrics were submitted at the embassy in Buenos Aires on Dec 28 and we received an email from NY on Jan 8 saying the application had been received and should be processed within 20 working days (ie by Feb 5).

Since the original email we've heard nothing and there is no way to check the status of the application. We replied to the mail to enquire about the application but I'm not even sure that mailbox is monitored. It's so frustrating and we are starting to stress out as we are hoping to leave for the UK on March 1.

Still no news and it is now 41 working days since we submitted the application. The wait is excruciating and the longer it goes on, the more worried I am that there is some sort of problem. Although I've been living outside of the UK for 6 years, I have a well-paid job to return to and own my own property so I thought our case was going to be fairly straightforward

Anyone else here submitted a settlement visa application to New York in December/January and had any news?
