Dellima regarding eligibility for ILR

Post by zallecool » Mon Feb 20, 2006 1:00 am

Hello there,

I have been on WP/HSMP for 3+ years and before that I was on TWS for 1.5 years. I came to UK as a student in the year 2000.

My question is do I have to wait for another year to apply for ILR? Or will some consideration be given to the following facts:
* I have been in UK for nearly 6 years now
* While on TWS I was working full time to gain practical experience

Any help in resolving this delimma will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Zalle

Your ILR application will be rejected unless you complete a WP + HSMP period of 4 years less 28 days.

TWES time cannot be amalgamated with HSMP time as this category does not lead to settlement.
