Denmark - family reunification vs. work permit/residency

Post by agalarra » Wed Nov 18, 2009 10:08 am

Hi
I am a non-EU citizen married to a spanish citizen. We are currently living in the middle east. I received a job offer in Denmark and planning to move there. It is my understanding that I can apply for a visa to move to Denmark either by family reunification (through my wife) or work permit/residency. My questions are:
1) which option is better in terms of paperwork and timing.
2) If family reunifcation (FR) is the best option, can I apply for FR even though my wife is not in Denmark or Europe in general.
3) In 2002 I was EU resident in Spain for 10 months through family reunification, do this condition help in the process of getting FR in Denamrk?

Thanks a lot in advance
