Dependant Entry Clearance Forms?

Post by afzalasm » Mon Jun 27, 2005 10:56 pm

Dear All,

I am about to apply for my wife and 3 children EC from Karachi Pakistan. Would you please let me know which form should I use for application? Does my dependants need to apply on settlement form viz. VAF2 or just the VAF1 form?

Also, is there any one applied from Pakistan recently, what was the fee and how long the high commission take to give decision?

Any interviews for family members feedbacks? Look forward to hear useful info from you.

Best Regards,
Ali

Afzal, it is the form VAF1 that you need to use for your family, assuming you have HSMP visa.

I shall let others post about applying in Karachi but the following link to the BHC might prove useful. Just click here.

On the same site is the Visa Fees page. The fee for the sort of visa required by your family is currently £75, payable in local currency, namely 8250Rs. However do note that the fees do increase on 1st July ... Friday! The new fee is £85 and assuming the same rate of exchange is used that would seem to be 9350Rs. Will you try and get the application in this month before the fee increase takes effect?

Thanks John.

I am on HSMP visa. I visited BHC and there was some confusion as they mentioned the dependant of above has the following fee which was GBP 260 and this is what got me confused.

If its 75/85 then it is good for me. Do you have any link which state this increase in fee from the begining of next month. I will check it on BHC site aswell.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Afzal

Yes it is :-

Statutory Instrument 2005 No. 1465 - The Consular Fees Order 2005

You need to look in Part II of that Order. Lots of fees being varied. 18(iv) in particular is what affects you.
