My husband spent 2 months out from UK during this time. The question is, Is it the time he spent in UK required as 12 months to change the maintenance amount to 533/dependant or is it the time from his first arrival in UK.Paragraph taken from the guidlines:
Your dependants should include all the documents necessary to show that they qualify for entry to the UK as your dependant. If they do not, we may refuse their application.
As a guide, your dependants should include:
* evidence of their relationship to you;
* evidence that there is £1600 (or £533 if you have been in the UK for more than 12 months) for each dependant, in your or their personal bank account for maintenance, and that the money has been there for at least 3 months prior to the date they make their application; and
* a copy of the pages from your passport/travel document showing your permission to stay, if you are already in the UK.
We have planned to apply in Feb 2011, so if it is the time from his first arrival to UK will change the dependant maintenance fund slot then it is ok otherwise, I think we have to wait 2 months more.
Another relevant question is, Is it ok that we can start maintaining fund now or we have to start maintaining fund after 12 months passed for 533/dependant slot.
According to our calculation we need to show 533x3 Pounds either in my husband’s account or in mine account or combined.
Final Question: Do I need to pass English Test; I have already done Master of English Degree. I heard that English test is compulsory for dependants over 18 now.
