T1 Dependant Route

I came to the UK in Feb, 2005 as a student and my wife as my dependant in 2006. I was on Tier 1 Entrepreneur status while applying myself for ILR based on 10 year long residency in Jan, 2015 and awaiting my outcome. My wife as entrepreneur dependant visa will expire Feb, 2016 and in the mean time she will qualify herself (10 year long residency) next year in Jan, 2016. Can my wife continue to stay as entrepreneur dependant until she qualify herself to be eligible to apply for ILR based on 10 year long residency in Jan, 2016. I am thinking to do so to save the ILR dependant fee and going through all the SET(M) requirements. And either i am on Entrepreneur Visa currently or become ILR after 3 or 4 months, can my wife continue to live as entrepreneur dependant until Feb, 2016 so that she can directly apply for ILR(Long Residency) in Jan, 2016. This will save myself from one/off SET(M) fee and further hassles. I shall be very grateful if anyone in the forum with extended knowledge in this matter could shed some light. Thank you.
