What country are you from/ or is your country visa-free to Spain?

If the answer to the later is negative, you will need a Schengen Visa to Spain.

If your wife will not be working, then she will be exercising treaty rights as a self-sufficient person, you will be the sole provider for her, which will be fine.

You will need to apply for resident card for family members of EEA national under Directive 2004/38EC, once you are in Spain. Hopefully this will be issued free of charge within 6 months.

You will also need a medical isurance, as this will be part of your application that you wife and yourself are self-sufficient and will not be a burden to the state.
