Dependant Visa Issue

I went to GNIB to renew mine and my wife's (Dependant Visa). My visa was renewed without any issue. In my wife's case they raised few issues:

As my wife was working on spousal dependant visa in 2007. Then she was on maternity leave till 18-03-2008. Meanwhile because of family issues she decided not to join work and informed her employer. Employer issued P35 which indicates she is on indefinite leave and on their PAYROLL. Also, her visa was renewed in 2007 December (without being asked for any documents at all).

This time GNIB asked her to produce P60 or P45 and work permit as her status on their system still shows as she is still working (Unfortunately we have not taken P45 from the Employer). Her work permit has already been expired in Dec-2007.

GNIB refused to renew her visa on the basis that she doesn't have either P60 or P45 and she is still on their system as being working on Stamp 3 (which is infact GNIB's fault while renewing visa last year)

Can anyone advise what can be done on this?
