Dependant Visa Tier1 cochin anyone?

Post by mghe » Wed Jun 03, 2009 1:20 pm

Hello Folks,

I am planning to apply for a dependant visa for my wife from India. I am under Tier1 (General) in UK, was prev in HSMP now on Tier 1. I went through the information on the ukvisa.gov.uk page and have some queries in regards to this....please help...

1. I am going to use the VAF 10 form am I correct?
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/ ... 3073/vaf10

2. In the form question 7.2 says if the dependant is accompanying or joining later the main applicant. Now my query is I will be in India during my wifes application and hopefully I can bring her back along with me so..which option should I select ?

3.At the last page in the document check list there is a checkbox that says to provide evidance of any convictions or so...so shall I leave it blank? or tick it and say that my wife has not been convicted in the covering letter.

please help with this.
thanks a lot

Hi mghe,

I think one more thing to consider for you (and me also):
The application fee to pay:

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/visafees/

Are you gonna pay 250 pounds for
"Dependant of tier 1 general applicant with HSMP approval letter (transitional arrangement)"

or 675 for

"Dependant of tier 1 general applicant"

What do you think??

Hello Deep,

I think I have to pay the 675GBP or watever it is in India for Tier 1 Dependants. I had a HSMP ( both letter and Visa) initially but have now been granted a Tier 1 extension, so I think I am under Tier 1 currently , no transistional arrangements...Are you also planning for cochin, you know how long their timelines are by any chance?

HTH,
:)
