Dependent eligible for naturalisation

Hi
I am British citizen through tier 1 general.
Become British citizen in December 2015.
My wife she is still pbs dependent visa and will be eligible for ILR in March 2018,once she granted ILR then we have plan to apply for naturalisation straight away.
But someone said she can only apply for naturalisation in December 2018 as spouse of British citizen on the basis of 3 years,as I was granted British citizenship in December 2015,is that correct?please guide me.
