Dependent visa Dilemma

Hi,
I'm currently in the UK on Tier 1 (G) issued on Mar 28 for 3 yrs. Prior to that I was on Tier 1 PSW.

I will be getting married on Sept 6 '10 and will reach Mumbai on 26th Aug. As my fiancee is insisting on coming to the UK on the same flight as me on Sept 20. Given the long timelines for Tier 1 dependent (15-20 working days)......we have decided to do the following:
27 Aug - Court Marriage
30 Aug - Dependent Visa application at VFS
6 Sept - Traditional marriage

My worry here is this clause in the UKBA Guidance "The relationship must be subsisting and the applicants must intend to live together". There seem to be some rejections due to this, most recently, this one http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=59594

Given the fact that i will be doing the traditional marriage AFTER the application is made and that we will be newly married, i wont have any photos to provide and dont know if i should provide the wedding invitation. So at the moment I only intend to provide Marriage certificate and tenancy agreement.

My question:
What additional documents should i provide to show that "The relationship must be subsisting and the applicants must intend to live together"????

You could keep the bills of telephone calls to your would be and other communication that you know each other and have been communicating. Main aim here is to convince that this is not a sham marriage. You could also submit a copy of your passport page with your immigration stamp and this will prove that you are in India when the marriage took place. I cant think of anything else. But, I think it is a close call. Wait for others to respond.

ahan..your fiancee can't wait to be with you..all for love ..

and now to your question:

I believe if you are doing a court marriage then you would have a couple of witnesses and other customary things like garlanding or maybe something else... If you can get a photograph of the day you are getting court married may be along with the lawyer(if he is good enuf) and provide that as part of the marriage photograph. mention the same in the cover letter.

Also if you have the invitation card which mentions dates like court marriage on 27th aug and instead of traditional marriage you can just print it as reception or something so that the caseworker is not confused..then i think there is no harm in providing that as an evidence..that is my opinion though....good luck!!

I exactly had the same case like you. I went to india on 9th May. Did court marriage on 10th May. Applied for visa 12th may & my traditional marriage was on 16th May. My wife just submitted marriage certificate as relationship proof and she got rejection for the reason that ECO thought that our relationship is not subsisting.
The second time she applied with marriage photographs and invitation card ,showing date of our court marriage instead of traditional marriage (we print one off just for visa purpose). I created a letter explaining the history of relationship,(how we met for the first time, when we got engaged etc..) She also submitted phone call history showing that I was in touch with her in the period between engagement and marriage. And she got the visa !
I recommend you to submit more than one relationship evidence otherwise they may reject your application.

Can you tell me, the invitation card that you printed was all in english or did it contain ur native language too.
Am also thinking of printing an invitation card just one off and attach it along with certificate and 10 wedding photos .
