Dependent visa for wife (I've got an HSMP visa, not Tier-1)

Post by azaidi » Wed Sep 17, 2008 8:44 am

Hi all,

I applied for and received my HSMP approval and EC in Feb 2008. I've recently gotten married and want to bring my wife over to the UK. I'm an Indian citizen and so is my wife.

Which form am I supposed to fill for her? The tier1dependantsform from http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ependants/ (with a subsequent post to the UK etc)

or

VAF10 from http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/vafs (with the application going to the local VFS centre)

Thanks in advance!

You have to use VAF2 form for dependant if you already having the HSMP approval letter.

VAF10 form is only for the people who are dependant for Tier1 (General) applicants.

I am on old HSMP and recently i got FLR for three years (1+3+3). My FLR visa stamp is Tier1 General and even mentioned Tier1 general in approval letter.
Is it switched to Tier1 general although i mentioned JR in cover letter.
My question is for spouse visa which form should i use (VAF2 or VAF10) and which fee will apply equivalent £200 or £600?

Thanks

Guys, get your facts right before you advise others. Or provide evidence to substantiate your claim. If you read through this post, you'll understand that both of you are wrong.

Make an effort to search for information already available on the forum, before posting queries.
