Dependent Visa - Requires leave letter/relieving letter

I am having Visa stamping next week and i need a clarification regarding the dependent Visa documents.

I am working in company X and my spouse in company Y and i have applied for Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer visa and a dependent visa for me and my spouse. My spouse does not have leave letter/relieving letter from his organization and he is planning to resign only after the visa Stamping is successful.

Can someone clarify whether spouse's leave letter/relieving letter is a mandatory document for dependent Visa stamping?
