Dependent Visa or Skilled worker on expiry advice

Post by perthuser » Thu Oct 03, 2024 10:41 pm

Dear Members,

This has been a great platform to get some helpful advice on UK immigration. Thanks for the help.

I am currently on a Skilled worker Visa for 3 year which is due to expire by end of this year. My family - Wife and two kids, had come along with me at the same time on dependent Visa at the same time. I had to bear the cost of the dependent visa as company was not covering dependent visa cost. Their Visa expiry date is same as mine.

After around 6 months my spouse found a job in my company itself. Since she was on a dependent Visa we didn't talk about sponsorship again separately. Now the company is ready to provide a Skilled worker visa but not ready to cover dependent visa cost. As per forum advice switching from dependent visa to skilled worker would reset her ILR clock. Is there any other type of visa I can persuade my company to provide such that the ILR clock is not reset.

Thanks
