Dicretionary leave to remain

Hello every one, i need help.
I was given a discretionary leave to remain in UK til my 18th birthday, before it expired i applied for extention but now its nearly three years there is no reply and no acknowledgment letter. i asked my solicitor to right to them.
my question is can i apply for travel documents or is there any other way i can get ILR in short or less time.
will appreciate ypour reply.
