did I break continuous residency to qualify for 10 yearsrule

Post by juletta.nebo » Wed Feb 26, 2014 11:24 pm

:( Hello. I have a question regarding gaps in continuous residence.
I arrived to Uk in May 2003 on student visa valid until 30 october 2004.i had applied for my extension on 21 oct 2004. While application was in process I had to move my house and subsequently informed home office of the change, but they sent my documents back to the old address.i could not retrieve my passport for nearly 2 months from old landlord (crazy one) , but when eventually I had my passport there was letter stating that payment didn't do through and I had to send them new payment slip.So I only reapplied somewhere in January with covering letter and got my visa in march 2005. Nearly 3-4 months after. Would home office consider this circumstances as mitigating and what can be done about it. I did requested the immigration history file from h.o. and that visa shown as refused because of payment issue.
Please help..
thank you in advance

Second gap I have around 21 days late submission due to ilness .medical history can be obtained frim hospital.

Do I have any chances at all as my 10 years were completed in May 2013.

According to the new immigration law we have to pass life in uk alongside with language test.
I did life in uk in March 2013 and im not sure if I have to go for b1 test. (Have 3 years bba from registered college)
