Divorce Petition

Post by Himanchi_nat » Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:01 am

Hi All,

My wife has a Limited Leave To Remain Spouse Visa, which expires in May 2007.

We have been married for 2 years, we had a very difficult patch recently and I stupidly petitioned for a divorce and we were separated for 6 weeks!

We are happily back living together again and I have cancelled the divorce and have the letter from the county court saying it has been cancelled.

Do I have to declare this when we goto immigration ?

Would immigration be able to find information that I petition a divorce?

What checks do they do when we apply for either settlement or Further Leave Remain?

Or will they throw the book at us and refuse a visa altogether?

I just don't want to open a can of worms if I don't have to.

Many thanks
