Docs required to enter US on B1

Post by hsmp_1476 » Fri Aug 28, 2009 2:35 pm

Hi,

I am Indian citizen living in London. I have a valid B1 issued in India. When I am travelling from London on B1, what are the documents that I shuld carry with me?

Thanks
Vikram

Only the passport with the visa is required. Anything else you want to bring showing ties to your country of residence is an added bonus (don't show unless asked).

Thanks Marco. But all my friends who travel from India to US on B1 had always carried Invitation/Sponsorship letters from the company in US as well as the company in India. And officers at port of entry always asked for those documents it seems.

So I thought the similar documents will be required to travel from UK as well. Don't you think it is needed?

Do carry similar documents then.
