Document checklist FLR(M) - Would love help please!

Post by amnasarah » Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:21 pm

Hi everyone!

This forum has been super helpful so far. I'm just finalising getting my documents together for my FLR(M) and would love for some advice to make sure I have everything in order. My current visa expires 02/03/2020 and I am planning on applying on 10/02/2020 (the day I get back from a trip). I've listed out all of the scans that I have.

Personal Documents:
  • Applicant passport
  • Applicant BRP
  • Sponsor passport
  • IHS Number
  • Declaration / consent forms
Relationship documents:
  • Marriage license
Proof of Address:
  • April 2018 - Sponsor NHS appointment reminder, Applicant AXA Insurance claim paper
  • December 2018 - service charge payment (both names)
  • March 2019 - council tax (both names)
  • July 2019 - letter from property manager (both names)
  • October 2019 - Barclays mortgage statement (both names)
  • January 2020 - Sponsor NatWest statement, Applicant council tax
I'm mainly concerned here that I don't have the documents spaced out evenly across the 2 years

Accomodation documents:
  • Mortgage offer
  • Mortgage redemption statement
  • Mortgage payment statement (I can only find the second page of this, so there's nothing on there that shows our names or address, but the payments are what we've declared in the application)
  • Water bill (this has been printed from online and uploaded)
  • Council tax
  • Virgin Media bill (this has been printed from online and uploaded)
Financial requirements - Applicant: (I switched employers in November 2019)
  • January - November payslips from employer 1
  • December - January payslips from employer 2
  • Employer 1 letter
  • Employer 2 letter
  • Corresponding bank statements from January 2019 - December 2019 (not received January 2020 yet)
Thank you all in advance!

From a quick glance: you will need a marriage certificate rather than a marriage licence (entirely possible this is what you meant), the December 2019 bank statement and pay slip will be more than 28 days old by the time you apply so you would need to include a bank statement showing the January 2020 pay being deposited into your account (your bank can likely help sort out a partial or mini-statement that would meet the requirement), and if you can sort out another piece of address evidence from between April and December 2018 it would probably be to your benefit.

Hi there. Firstly thank you so much for replying.

1. I meant marriage certificate..sorry how american lingual of me!
2. We bought our flat together in July 2018. For the additional piece of evidence you mentioned, would it be better to include it in the previous address (my mother in-laws home) or our home?

Thank you!

1. Not so much a difference in terminology, they are different documents.
2. As long as the address shows you were living together it doesn't really matter which residence you choose.
