Document checklist for new born in India

Post by nikitasha8 » Mon Nov 25, 2013 9:06 am

Hi All,

I am currently in seven month of my pregnancy and will be going to India soon. I am going to have my baby born in India. I have got the list of documents which i will need to apply for my baby's visa from india. Please can someone have a look at it and let me know if I am missing anything

I am on Tier 1 (general) main applicant. I will be taking all my holidays before the start of my maternity leave. So holiday starts from 16th Dec to 3 feb and Maternity starts from 4th Feb. Wil, be going to India on 2nd Jan.

1) Baby's passport

2) Baby's Birth certificate

3) Copy of our passport - all 32 pages (mine and my husband's)

4) Copy of Biometric card (does this have to be a true copy? can true copy be done in India?)

5) Our Approval letter

6) Tenancy Agreement

7) Payslip for last 6 months (of before I go on Maternity Leave)

8 ) Letter from employer confirming my Maternity start date. (Can this be dated for 13th Dec to apply for visa in Feb as i will be India at that time?)

9) 3 months Bank statement for maintainance (India bank account)

Please can someone advise if I am missing anything as i want to make sure I am taking all necessary documents to India when I leave.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance

Please can someone reply to this message...i really don't want to miss out any documents before I leave the country and don't want to pay fees to any lawyer for advice as I can easily get suggestions from this forum.

Thanks again
