Documentation for work permit - pls help

Hi,

As I understand, different documents are required for HSMP and work permit and based on what I have researched, I have prepared the following documentation for my ILR application in Aug. Pls let me know if I have missed out anything or if I should prepare anything else.

1. Employer letter
2. Original P60/P45 for last 3 years (lost 1st 2 years)
3. Letter from HO for work permit approval (original from previous employer, copy from current employer)
4. Original last 12 month's payslips
5. Original last 12 month's bank statements (monthly)
6. Original annual savings bank statements (as that is where most of our savings is stored)
7. Original mortgage statement
8. LIfe in the UK test

Questions:

1. I know that under HSMP, you will need to prove 5 year's economic activity, but under wp, you don't have to. Is that correct? As I have lost my P60's for the 1st 2 years and wondering if I need to get them.

2. During the year I changed my employer, my P45 states I left on 26/10 and my work permit approval letter states that I can start working in my new job on 18/10 (with the leave to remain stamped in my passport before 26/10) and I have a P60 from my new employer to the end of Apr for that year. Is this sufficient proof that there is no gap and that there is 5 years continous employment? My original work permit was valid for 5 years from 2004 and was transferred to my current employer.

3. I only have a copy of the HO letter from my employer as the original is kept by them. Would this be an issue and would I need to obtain the original?

Lastly, my husband and I are applying at the same time. We have separate work permits issued to us so does this mean that we are not considered dependants and cannot apply on the same application? i.e. 2 separate applications and 2 separate fees?
