Documents for HSMP JR - ILR applicants

Post by Jk2007 » Fri Jan 08, 2010 7:11 pm

On going through the ILR application, I find that HSMP holders are not required to provide Letter from the Employer. This is required for work permit holders.

I feel HSMP holders may need to provide the following documents:

(A) Economic Activity:

- P60s.
- Self assessment Tax statements from HMRC, if available.
- Relevant Bank Statements to prove tax has been paid.

If working through limited company, in addition to the above,

- Letter from accountant (in their letterhead) with summary of profit, expenses, and corporation taxes paid.
- Letter from HMRC confirming the corporation tax payments.
- Business Bank Statements.

(B) Maintenance Funds:

- Personal Bank statements.

Questions:

(1) In addition to P60s, should we provide Self assessment tax returns for each year? Would it be enough if we provide self assessment statements from HMRC (which are issued afte filing tax returns)?

(2) Should we provide payslips for the last 6 months? For those who are working through limited companies, payslips may show only part of the income since income may include dividends. In that case, should we include dividend vouchers?

(3) Proof for Maintenance Funds: Most people would not like to park their extra money in current accounts as that provide almost zero interest. For maintenance funds, can we show statements of Regular Saver accounts, Fixed deposit accounts, and Fixed Rate ISA accounts?

(4) Home: There is a question asked, if the home is owned by you? If the answer is yes, what kind of proof is required? Land Registry Certificate? There is also a question asked, how much is the mortgage payment? Then should we include mortgage statements from the bank?
