Documents required for Tier 1 General Visa as per new rules

Post by ShamSanjay » Mon May 10, 2010 7:46 pm

Dear All,

I am preparing to apply for Tier 1 General visa towards end of May 2010. I will be putting my updates on this thread as my preparations proceeed. I hope it would prove helpful for others.

For the time being, I have been told by VFS helpline that SSC, HSC & BSc certificates are recommened. Now I dont have originals for HSC. Is graduation certificate alone enough or SSC, HSC are a MUST? If any of you have applied recently or can provide me some guideline then that will be great. Eager to hear from you soon.

Just FYI, you may know it already:
I had also enquired VFS if my wife can apply for Dependents visa saperately after my visa is approved & they have said yes. Also for Fund Maintenance she can apply with her saperate account & that balance need not be maintained in my account. This is helpful, since I dont have balance to cover collective funds.

Cheers,
Shyam

Start your journey to being a Tier 1 (General) migrant by reading the Tier 1 (General) policy guidance *carefully*.

'Cause there's nothing you have said that's not mentioned in the policy guidance. Reading it will also answer your queries regarding academic certificates.
