Doubt regarding EC and Time limit to enter UK

Post by joscin » Wed Jul 16, 2008 8:03 am

Hi All,

I am from India. I have some doubts. I got HSMP recently. I am going to apply for EC after collecting required fund in my bank acc.
Anyone pls answer following questions.

1. The visa we are getting based on HSMP for how many years. Its for 2 or 3 years? Somebody says its for 3 years according to new rules.

2. After getting EC visa, maximum How long we can stay here. I mean any time limit is there to land UK once we cleared EC ?

Thanks a lot.

Initial applications wrote:If you are given entry clearance as a highly skilled worker from outside of the United Kingdom, you will be able to live and work in the United Kingdom for a maximum period of three years. When the end of this period approaches you will need to apply to extend your stay as a highly skilled worker.

Check your visa wrote:Please check your visa when you get it. You should make sure that:

* your personal details are correct
* it correctly states the purpose for which you want to come to the UK, and
* it is valid for the date on which you want to travel. (You can ask for it to be post-dated up to three months if you do not plan to travel immediately).
