DRF1 Documents

Post by splanky » Wed Apr 30, 2014 3:12 pm

It's three days before I get on a plane to the UK before and my migration agent has stopped returning my emails.

I have twice applied for a family permit and had them refused because the person looking at my application didn't apply the law correctly. So I am coming to the UK as a non-visa national and I'll apply for a derivative residence card.

My question is: how do the documents I'll need to supply differ from those from the family permit? I am the primary carer of a self-sufficient EEA minor child, so I will need to show she is self-sufficient (my bank statements, my business financials, proof of other income) and I am her primary carer (birth certificate, child support assessments showing my care percentage is 100%) and we have CSI. For the family permit I needed expired passports. Do I need them for the DRF1? I assume I'll need to send both her Australian and Dutch passports?

Other things I was advised to send with the family permit documentation: A statement from my child's father saying he was happy for her to reside in the UK. Lodger agreement to prove we had somewhere to stay. Will I need these?

I also had to send a copy of all the documents for the family permit as well as the originals. The DRF1 doesn't request this. Or have I missed it?

Do I send an envelope for the return of documents with the application?

Anything else I should be aware of?

Cheers,
Splanky
