Duration of stay for Settlement

Hi,
Does anyone know if a 2 month leave from the country will adversely affect my settlement application? I will complete 5 years based on work permit in August this year, but I have to go to India for 2 months now as my mother is in hospital.

Would this count against my 5 years when I apply for settlement? What is the maximum continuous time I can be away from the country?
