Duration of stay outside UK !

Hi All,

I need some help. After receipt of my HSMP approval, I wanted to quit my current job. But according to my contract with the company I can give notice after a quarter and the notice period is 6 months. Thereofore I will not be able to quit before December because if I give resignation now it will be effective from July 1 and the contract will end after 6 months of that. It is usual in consulting Business.

Now my question is, can I apply for Entry Clearance asking for my visa from a specified time (e.g. starting from January 2005) ? I can provide official obligations from my current company while applying for visa. Do they allow? If not, then can I enter UK for some weeks and then come back to complete my contractual obligations and then return to UK on January 2005 ?

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance and greetings.

as per uk emb in oman acceptance lettet of resignation is enough , they will stamp visa for a date forward to last date mentioned in resignation acceptance letter by employer .

Thank you very much for your reply. I will ask the Emb here in Dusseldorf about the same and proceed accordingly. Do u have any idea as how much of fund I need to show to be on the safe side ? I will apply along with my wife and 2 yrs old son. Do I need any medical examination ? I have downloaded the form IMA2A, is that we need for EC ? Greetings.

medical 90 % no for 2n world 10% for 3rd world + depend on yr health or interview .
