Early extension

Post by jamiluddin » Fri Jul 29, 2011 4:37 pm

Hi,
I am in the UK for 8.5 years now ,currently on Tier 1 General Visa which is due to be extended before 22nd April 2012. on February 2013 i will make 10 years in UK and would be able to apply for Long Residence permanent visa. Now I want to know should i apply for my extension 3-4 months before due casue i dont need the extension for full 2years .I want to apply for earlier extension cause in any case if the visa is rejected i might have some other options to reapply or other options.will it be possible to apply early?

I would suggest don't apply early and complete 5 years on Tier-1/HSMP (Unless you feel you will not qualify if you apply closer to extension)

Reason being that in case they don't consider your 10 years continuous stay then at least 5 years on Tier1/HSMP would count.
