Earning calculation as per new Tier1 rules

Post by bvijaycom » Sun Mar 01, 2009 6:36 pm

Hi All,

I know coming April onwards UK immigration rules for tier 1 visas going to change. as part of this I have one clarification w.r.t salary eligiblity.

Minimum salary 20000 pounds means what is the actual eligibility salary in Indian rupees.

Do we need to have 1500000 lakhs per annum in Indian rupees or what?

Please explain me on this.

From UK immigration web site

'Tighten new criteria against which highly skilled migrants seeking entry to the United Kingdom are judged, by raising the qualifications and salary required for tier 1 (General) of the PBS to a Master's degree and a minimum salary of £20,000.'

You should have earned a minimum of £20,000 equivalent in INR to be eligible for tier 1

Use the currency converter and figure out how much exactly you need in INR
