ECO spend on an application??

Post by omeo_21 » Tue Dec 08, 2009 2:25 pm

Hi guys this might be a silly question but i was just curious to know if anyone knew how long the ECO normaly takes to review an individual fiancee application for settlement?? Some people told me they spend about 20 minutes on one but dont know if its true.

Also do they have seperate eco's for each type of application for example theres one eco that just deals with family visa and nothing else or do they do everything?

thanks

An ECO deals with his caseload of applications, whether they be fiance/spouse etc.

Prior to the applications reaching his desk, other people do various checks such as employment checks, bank statements, family history etc.

The ECO will probally take half an hour to make a decision on an application once he has all the relevant info in front of him.

An experienced ECO will quickly pick out the dodgy applicants

hi brother

so how do they go about doing these checks. so for employment do they just ring up your employer and how do they check your bank statements. my fiancee whos applying has already recieved 2 family visits so im sure they are already aware of her and probably just going to look at me.
some of our conversations such as texts messages the name that comes under is not her name but a nickname that you normally call your loved ones such as honey, i stated this on the document so should that be ok?

thanks just so nervous about these things

Most of the checks are done through Government agencies.

You would be suprised at what information they can access without us evening knowing about it.

To put it simply, if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear :D
