Ecuadorian Citizen Has Question

Ecuadorian Citizen Has Question

I am an Ecuadorian citizen who is studying in France for one semester. My visa says that it is valid to
France (+ 1 Transit Schengen)

What does this mean? Can I travel between the schengen states or I can't leave France?

Are there border checks when going from one schengen country to the other?

I think it means u can travel to France and transit via one other Schengen state. ie fly to germany onto france.

Not sure tho!
