Editing Application after IHS payment but before Visa Fee

Hi
I have recently completed the application and checked all the details but when I made the IHS payment and use the link sent by UKVI to complete the application there were errors in the application. I'm not sure how this happened. As I read there is no option to edit the application, if I make the fresh application, what will happen to my IHS payment. Can I use the same again, if yes then how can I use this in new application.

If you have not attended biometrics option could to to write acover letter addressing the errors and give the correct details.
If you intend cancelling an application and going the road again you may be on a long walk.

Thanks a lot...I think mentioning the errors in cover letter is good idea.
