EEA citizen claiming WTC/CTC - will this affect PR claim?

Post by JXenir » Thu Jan 29, 2009 3:25 pm

Hi all,

After reading many posts here, I've decided to create this new topic, as I couldn't find a similar case.

I've just sent an ap. form for Child Tax Credits/Working Tax Credit, but now I don't think I should've done that. I'm applying/requesting a Permanent residence confirmation for my spouse/newborn child soon. Would this affect my PR request (after living in the UK for 10 years)?

I know I can apply for it, but if this means I'll lose my right to PR, I'll just cancel my WTC/CTC application.

Thanks

You are talking about PR. Are you making applications under EU regulations?

Or do you mean ILR? Who is applying for that? All of you? If so please detail your UK immigration history, and also state nationality(ies).

As regards you and your spouse, did either of you work in another country, apart from that of your nationality, before coming to the UK? If so, please give details.
John
