I couldn't understand why did you name your thread as EEA divorce if you wanted to ask question about applying for a residence card???

Maybe he's planning on divorcing his wife when he is sure he's qualified to remain in the UK? That being said, living in Reading should mean he wants to leave the UK asap!

I have seen your other querry .
I think as you want to apply for retention of right of residence after divorce and ur spouse was a full time student at the time of divorce , You need a comprehensive medical insurance for both of you during her study and AT THE TIME OF DIVORCE to make her a qualified person at that time. As in your case divorce has already taken place how can you get an insurance that will cover the back dated period while ur spouse was studying/divorce took place. If you sign up a private medical insurance today that will be for the future and will not make ur spouse a qualified person at the time of divorce. And if ur spouse was not a qualified person at the time of divorce then how can you be??....need to see a solicitor
