My friend is going to apply for a EEA Family Permit for his spouse currently residing outside the EU. He has been living in the UK since 2013-2014. He currently has two lawful jobs, one as his main employment (Company A) and the other one to supplement his income further (Company B). Before starting to work for Company A he had another job at Company C since July 2018. This Company C went under in December 2019 and he got paid for redundancy this month.
In February he started working for Company A as his main employment and he continuous to also work at Company B. Can he apply for a family permit for his spouse next month, even though he just started working for Company B in February? He always earned enough to pay for NI contributions and Income Tax.
He is worried because people keep telling him that he needs to show that he has been working for the same company for at least six months, whereas he just started working for Company A. Of course he has the payslips of all the months he has worked and also a HMRC letter showing all the jobs he had and his earnings.
Your input would be really appreciated.
Thanks
