Needless to say I'm a little confused.
My EEA Family Permit / EUSS Family Permit (?) was denied for the following reason:
All other information seemed to be in line and I was refused for something that I must have overlooked. I am the non-EU spouse of an EU citizen who is studying in the UK for her Masters Degree. I was under the impression that I was applying for an EEA Family Permit, but they continue to call it an 'EUSS Family Permit.' Is there a difference? If so, I was not aware and sent in my application as if it were an EEA Family Permit. Perhaps I made a mistake on my cover sheet? On 23 August 2019 you made an application for an EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) Family
Permit under Appendix EU to the Immigration Rules on the basis of your family life with your
sponsor.
Your application has been refused because you have not provided a Home Office reference
number (or the equivalent in the Islands) to show that your EEA or Swiss citizen family
member has settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
What reference number are they talking about? My wife is cleared to go there for University and actually arrived there today, but was there a number she was given for 'pre-settled status' that I should have applied with?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Once I correct the mistake, I intend to re apply immediately.
Thanks
