EEA Family Permit for short multiple visits only

Hi all.....I hope some one can please help me here. I am a naturalized Irish citizen and my wife is non-eu. We have an Irish citizen child too. I have a permanent job in Ireland. Can we get an EEA family permit for UK, even though we just want to visit uk at different dates on very short, from 3 days to not more than a week at a time. And in case of northern ireland maybe just a day? The purpose of these short visits is just to visit family and also tourism. BTW, can we visit northern ireland together with out EEA FP?

Hiya As far as I'm aware you can use it for exactly that. Our situation is slightly different (I'm a UK citizen exercising treaty rights in Germany and have a non-EU wife) but otherwise we use the EEA Family Permit for exactly the same reason and in the same way.

It's a pain that the EEA FP only lasts for 6 months at a time, but otherwise within those 6 months you can make many short visits for any reason you see fit
