EEA Family permit for Syrian father

Post by sallymonfourny » Wed Sep 23, 2015 9:21 pm

Hi,

I am a french national working in the UK. My father is syrian and is currently in syria under the horrible conflict. I want to apply for an EEA family permit for him but I have to proof his dependency.

He is 47 and used to own properties but these are now in rebel controlled areas and he has no access to them what so ever. His only property left is the one he lives in but his daily expenditure is provided by me as he has no income left in syria. He has no other relatives in syria that support him (his other 2 kids are 15 and 10 years old) and his wife is a volunteer in the red crescent so has no income.

My question is, how do I proove his dependency considering its hard to show that his properties are in war zones. I can only provide money transfer receipts but he has no other bank statements or anything.

Would that be enough? not sure what to do since its a special case in a war torn country

A complex & special case such as this is unlikely to be fully documented by simply submitting the application form.

You would have to back up your application with a comprehensive & detailed cover letter.

Bon chance.
