Greetings to everyone,
I really need your help with advise and I would appreciate any information you can give me. To better understand my issue I will tell you my story and what I'm looking for:
I'm a national of Republic of Lithuania, I have been living and working in the UK from 2004 - 2007. Here is where I have met my girlfirend, she is Thai, She used to work (part-time) and study her Masters of Law in essex univerity. In 2007 she left back to Thailand and I followed her here, up until now I was undertaking degree at International University here and Bangkok and also working for 3.5 years. We wanted to get married, BUT we cannot because Thailand doesnt have Lithuanian Embassy therefore Thai government does not allow us to get married because Lithuanian embassy is not present here to translate and verify my papers.
Now the time for me to comeback to UK has come and my future wife wants to come with me (she is pregnant on 3rd month). So we have 2 options:
1. At UK Border Agency in Bangkok we asked about family permit if we can apply to if we are not married. They said you can try but you need to prove that you have been livin in "married like" relationship for over 2 years. Unfortunately eventhought we lived together we do not have any utility bills or anything like that to give to them, the only thing we can provide is photos from UK, Egypt, Thailand and other places we have been over the 6 years of our relationship. We also made a wedding ceremony for her family and we have photos from that day. Also have our e-mail converstation from over 3 years ago.
So here is the question should we apply for EEA Family permit or rather not? Kind of limited on Time my Thai visa will expire in a month time.
2. This option I came up with myself, take a tourist visa for my wife to UK, after that apply for Lithuanian visa and get married in Lithuania (it should work there) and apply for EEA Family permit in Lithuania, then come to the UK. The only problem with this if the permit will be refused I will be in a big trouble.
My father lives and works in Manchester so he has 2 bedroom apartment we can live there because he lives alone and he will help us financially as well till I can get my job.
So what I'am asking you should I still go for EEA Family permit here in Bangkok or go with plan 2?
Thank you for anything that you can advise.
