Hi,
I'm desperately looking for someone having passed through the EEA family permit in order to get some important advice. PLEASE HELP ME!
I'm an Italian woman married with a Kenyan, and I moved to London just a few weeks ago. He's still in Nairobi. We want to apply now for the EEA permit, but they ask me my bank statements up to six months ago!!! It's impossible, I've just come to London and opened a new account on my name, how could I have this kind of evidence??? However, the permit should be given to a non-EEA member joining his/her spouse in UK, no matter whether the EEA national has already a job or is looking for one (like me). And the couple could even be allowed to have the permit, in case they travelled together, the EEA national not having been in UK before! So why now they ask me for six months bank statement?
Then we have no evidence of having lived together before or after marriage. However, on which basis are they going to assess whether ours is a true marriage or a marriage of convenience?
Are they going to contact for any reason my or his parents?
PLEASE HELP ME!
Thank you so much
