EEA Forms Help

Post by boutya58 » Tue Feb 08, 2011 1:45 pm

Hi,

My wife is with me in Northern Ireland on a Non-EEA Family Permit and we want to bring the two children to stay. What forms do we require for this ?

Help much appreciated.

Kind Regards

We will need more details to be able to answer your question. What is a non-EEA family permit? Or do you actually mean a EEA family permit? What is the EEA national doing in the UK? Are the children non-EEA nationals too? etc.

Sorry, EEA Family Permit. My wife (Thai Citizen) and I married last year and want to apply for the two children, both under 18 to join us.

Both children are also Thai from a previous relationship.

If I interpret Regulation 7.(1)(b) correctly it only matters that the children are the children of one parent and that they are under 21 (or still dependant). In that case an EEA FP should be possible. You would need to show the valid IDs of all involved, the "chain" of relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificates) and that you are a qualified person.

EDIT: Are you British? If so I am not sure if that is possible.

I am a dual national and hold both a British and Irish passport. I excersised my European Treaty Rights to apply for EEA Family Permit.

Just to clarify - the children are from my Thai wifes previous marriage.

We have passports, birth certificates,id cards for both children and I have worked in UK, Northern Ireland all my life.

Then you must have applied for your wife's EEA FP as an Irish citizen. Do the same for the children.

@mrv, please start your own thread.
