EEA(FM) residence card,question about proof of living

My husband had his family permit and he is moving to uk next month. However, he got a job in uk but his job does not accept the family permit as work permit. He will lose his job after 90 days without his RC or COA, so we need to apply the RC asap.

We just recently married and he is moving from US . I did not understand the proof of living together in the form , to submit 6 items from 3 difference source, we do not have those yet.

I am sure we can get the council tax letter to confirm that his is moved in , and to call to get the NI. But i hope they wont said that they need the RC before apply.

Pls advice me if anything else i can get asap when he arrive to use to prove his residence, and how many items do we need?

Do i really need to proof of living together?, we only have marriage certificate, photos else?

Do i write a cover letter to explain why we dont have those ?

Can i use the EEA2 form, as it seems a bit easier.?

Please help.

You are not expected to have proof of living together before marriage.

Whether renting or owning a property start to create the paper trail by getting husband added to the appropriate documents, eg tenancy agreement.

Once in UK husband can start to register with local services:

• eg medical: doctor, dentist, optician;
  apply for NHS medical number;
  apply for EHIC;
  start putting name on joint bills;
  apply for bank account;
  join local library;
  join religious organisation. (local church, mosque, temple - if appropriate);

& etc.

Note: There may be time limits for when you can do some of the above - you will need to dig into that.

Suggest go to a solicitor & make a will too; married couples should have one anyway. That's another papertrail in writing.

This will all help show residence in UK.

Yes, a cover letter will help to fully explain your circumstances.

As per other posts in the forum you do not have to fill in the whole lengthy form;
just print off & use sections that apply to your case.
