Yes, I was a job seeker. I came in UK in the middle of Jan but all of my documents start from Feb (NiN, payslips, letters from bank).

Hi nosana1,

Can I ask, how long did you wait in between submitting each not received form? 10 working days each time? How long was the total waiting time between first requesting your passport back and receiving them? I requested ours back on the 25th June, waited 10 working days, then submitted a not received form on the 8th July... Hoping they'll now arrive but wondering how long I wait before submitting another not received form...

Hi lilpol,
I'm also desperate for our passports to be returned by the 20th - we booked travel ages ago and were expecting them to have been returned by now. We first requested our passports back on the 25th June, waited 10 working days, then submitted a documents not received form on the 8th July. Our ROD starts with ROD103007... and our documents not received starts with 10304... When did you first request yours back? How many requests have you submitted and how long did you wait in between? Thanks

Hi waterforelephants and lilpol,

I've been in your shoes about a week ago. I finally received my Passports after more than 6 weeks of waiting and requested them twice. So my advice is to send a 2nd request, I followed this action reading on this forum from another user.
Good luck !

1st request - waited 15 working days, no news
Where are my documents form - waited extra 10 working days, no news
Called HO - unuseful
2nd time requested - arrived after 8 working days

@lilpol unfutunately nothing yet.
Tomorrow will be the 10th working day since filling out the documents not received form.
If I don't get them tomorrow I guess I will have to fill out the document not received form again as whistles suggest but hope it does not come to that.
I need the documents asap

@whistles which forms did you use for the 2nd request before receiving your passport in 8 working days?
the return of documents form or the documents not received?

I am in the same situation.

Requested the passports back, two weeks ago and last Friday completed the 10th working day ... no sign of it.

Over the weekend filled the where are my documents form and requested it again.

We'll see :(

Hi ill_gremlinks,

I basically started all over, used the initial request form again and got a new ROD reference number.
While filling this form again I've also explained about the 1st request and gave old ROD no and the ref no for " where are my documents" form so they could see everything recorded or trackable in their system if wanted.
I was so desperate to get them back so I did it. I was afraid that the requests will clash somehow one with others but didn't .
And I know for sure that my 2nd request was successful because I have requested more documents than in the 1st request.
I've received Passports + IDs, however The extra documents requested weren't sent back because been kept as more supporting evidence for the case ( was explained in the letter coming along with the documents)

Hope this helps. :)

Congrats! :)

To everyone else waiting for passports / documents: if you urgently need them, go speak with your embassy and maybe they'll issue emergency travel documents for you. DO NOT rely on UKVI.

It's been almost 3 months since I requested one of my documents back. I sent numerous requests. I notified them that I had not received my document after 10 working days. I sent them emails. I called them numerous times. All they tell me is wait 10 more working days. The call centre people are unable to check anything related to our applications so you will most likely waste your time dealing with them. One of them even pretended he was checking something, then he claimed he was unable to find it. In all I think they are the most incompetent public workers I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. :x

I got my MP involved and he got in touch with them last week but I haven't heard from him since.

Hello treski,
Any news about your application?
I still waiting :(

nothing! absolutely desperate by now
day 103... and counting
feeling deflated

have not even requested my passport back, did think it could be an excuse for delays

based on what I have seen lately, i am now considering the possibility that requesting the documents or passport speeds the process up... what do you think?

I am in same position as you. Seriously considering requesting passport back to say 'hi I'm here' as I have not even received email confirmation so not a peep since they took my payment.

not even a confirmation email?
I travel a lot for work reasons and luckily I have only had meetings in Europe so traveled with my ID card.
I am off for a one-week work related trip next week so I will wait until I'm back and, if no DCPR, I will request my passport.
I just do not understand how this works, maybe I'm thick, but this should work in a 'first in, first out basis' (unless there are issues or missing documents) so I am disheartened when I read about people having sent straight EEA applications more than 4 months ago still waiting, while the lucky ones still get theirs in 80 days.

I don't think you can speed the process up.

Actually they claim that requesting the documents back may slow the process down. But in general I don't think that's the case.

I think it depends on many factors. One factor beyond your control is your caseworker. Maybe they are new. Maybe they are slow or extremely strict.

Then it depends how complicated your case is or whether your evidence is rock solid. If it isn't they will probably spend more time trying to figure out your status in those 5 years.

Finally... they may make mistakes and misplace applications / documents, send them to the wrong address (I remember reading such a horror story here before) etc.

hello all,

I am EEA national. Thought to share with you my timescale:

Application received: 29/04/2016
Payment taken: 05/05/2016
Confirmation email: 26/05/2016
DCPR: waiting....

I have a question - does anyone know when 1 year actual count starts to be able to apply for citizenship?
I have completed 5 years of residence in February, however applied for DCPR in April, therefore it is not clear when my qualified period starts to apply for passport?

Has anyone applied for DCPR in end of April as well and successfully received by now?

many thanks.

Then you will be able to apply (for naturalisation) from Feb 2017.

If you want to be absolutely sure you can make a SAR request (look it up).

Edit: Clarification.
